Finally a Reed Diffuser!

I am obsessed with Winners and Kitchen Stuff Plus nowadays lol.

I bought meself some orange EMU boots on sale for 50$ last week.. and this week I added another jacket to my jacket collection =D

I got a hold of this beige, almost Burberry, trench coat that falls slightly above the knees. Sooo in love with it right now!

And at Kitchen Stuff Plus.. I finally got a reed diffuser! I always wanted one of those =) and now finally my quest is complete. I chose a smell that reminds me of my bf.. "fresh linen" lol! So now I can have a similar scent to him in my room.. how weird does that make me? lol w/e tho, it makes me happy =)

My Broke Ass..Bought Me Some Shoesss =)

HA!

Who can resist a freakin sale? ..*shakes her head*.. I know I can't =(

But whooa so I try on these shoes cuz they look kinda cute and interesting. The colour is nothing like I've ever seen before! (it's a navy blue with hint of grey) And must I mention that they are high as a mothfka.. but comfortable as heck! And if they're gunna be high ..they must, must, must be comfy to walk in! They are also covered in some good quality leather inside and out.. beautiful!

Aneways, I flip them on the under side to check out the price.. and I almost had a heart attack.

$350.00 is what it read

I proceeded to place them back on the shelf.. but I think the sales girl saw my sadness (lol).. and she approached me saying they were in the process of marking them down.
I went to the cash register.. and got them for $90.00! Sweet deal! Oh I also bought some Givenchy pantyhose.. because I can... and only $10.. Nelson plz don't kill me! :$

Summer Splurge

Soooo ...
I've been dying to share the purchases I have made over the last week (minus the sick days- this is when I had a fever :( ).

I shared the Steve Madden shoes I bought for a very good bargain (1$) but I've been too busy to dress up/take pics of some other big buys (that I am very proud of).

Primo:

The Boyfriend Jacket...
YES! Ok I actually resurrected this from my closet. I bought it last year.. Vintage.. it's a Mexx charcoal blazer I purchased for 15$ =)

Bijoux Bijoux..
Actually, Nelson bought me these three necklaces from Buffalo Jeans NY ;) (the one on Yonge.. down in the basement there are super deals!)

and my Mom bought me this Faux-Gold bracelet =) from Jones New York

Smart Purses:
Smart purse number one:
Very 40's, red purse..with hidden fold-over pocket on the inside.. 5$

Smart purse number two:
Very 40's, box-like navy blue purse.. with an organizer in one of the pockets.. (no joke..it has a place for cheques, change, cosmetics, agenda, credit cards! and receipts) ...cost me $4.50

MY LIFE.. if it were a dress (lol)
I love this dressss!! I feel like a Godess in it! It's Vintage, very pink, very comfortable, it sways so gracefully.. and I can dress it up or down =) My "Hippy dance in the meadow" dress lol.. 25$ (she originally wanted 50$ for it pfftt)

My summer favourites:

SUCRETS lozenges!!! for those unexpected soar throats!

My two Best Friends.. Polysporin with SPF30 lip care covered with my Blistex Cherry Lip Fusion!

Crest Freakin Night Paste.. I can not stress enough how much I loovvee this toothpaste (ahaha). Seriously tho, its good.

Ultra Mist Sunblock <33>I'm also trying out a new moisturizer I found. My Vichy moisturizer just finished.. so I'm switching it up a bit to a day/night cream =) So far so good.. and it smells great!

Hold On World.. I'm Coming!!!

SSOOOO.. I was looking for my running shoes..

(gawsh i havent worn them in ages)..

I do own a pair of running shoes (haha) which serve for the gym and actual running.. but I also have those cute runners that you take out for a walk around the city. And I clearly CAN NOT wear THOSE cute shoes to play baddy *sigh.. you must understand =P

SO there I was running around my house (like i usually do) searching high and low from closet to closet.. throwing shiz around.. WHEN.. I discovered some treasure!!

YESS.. a treasure chest!

Ok, I exagerate..lol.. I found a shoe box.. (which is just as good when you let it run with your imagination) and within it were all these wicked-ass ribbons and shalls and little scarfs from like the 80's or smtn'...

So for the past half hour I've been playing around with these things.. and here is what I came up with:

LMAO =)

Another Buy...

So I went out and bought something else later this week..
but this time it wasn't for lil ol' me.. but for my mother!
She's been very busy as of late.. with work.. grocery shopping.. walking the lil rascal (Amor-my pup).. oh and she decided to take a course @ Humber.
So I decided to buy her a dress.
My mother, similarly to myself, loves goin out (with daddy) and dancin' her tale off! In December they've been to 3 banquet-like parties with their frnds.. and for January and February they're planning on going to 1) charity event (this weekend), 2) Valentines dance, 3) Masquerade Ball, 4) a "Hunter's" Ball. LOL.
Of course these are all elegant events.. but btwn her and her gf's its fashion supreme! so when I saw this dress at Jacob (AND reduced from 150$ to 60$..) I thought it was perfect (very fun, flirty, yet elegant) So I tried on a size bigger.. and immediately got it for her!
Cute, huh? I love the black stone detail. It lines the back of the dress as well.. and it has the same deep cut on the back =) HOT. Overall.. it is very comfortable and I love that it sways when you move> perfect for jammin out on the dance floor.

So the verdict: I got home.. surprised her by laying it out on the couch before she came home that day. She didn't know what to think when she saw it lol.. she was worried it was too short. But she tried it on.. she loved it.. and it's a keeper! It goes perfectly with her silver heels, silver purse, and sheer violet shall! Success!

Confessions of a ... part 2

So after I bashed the book "Confessions of a Shopaholic".. I came to the conclusion (after a heavy week of shopping) that I AM A SHOPAHOLIC in denial!

Ok ok. I'm not into the high priced shit and I don't necessarily follow all the trends.. but damn when I see a good deal or if there's somewhere hot to go and I have nothing to wear.. I JUST GO ALL OUT and SHOP!
I think I fall into the category of a "Recession Chick".. or being "recession chic" (http://www.chicintuition.com/).. proven by the following thought process :

So after being told on a night out (by someone who shall remain anonymous) that he/she didn't find my hoodie attractive, it got my wheels turning.. "I don't have any sweaters or good clothes for the colder months!". Well, maybe I do have 'some' nice things.. but pffttt they're worn out n flat from the previous winters (haha). Besides, me "not having" anything to wear was a perfect reason to get out to the mall n just float lookin at shit ;).

If I just happened to stummble upon smtn I liked.. it wouldn't hurt to try it on... 'n then possibly buy it.. and on my debit card of course. I like knowing that my purchases are mine from the moment I check it out. I hate having to wait a whole month to own smtn that I've already worn.. 'n pay for it on my visa.. cuz the amounts just pile higher 'n higher. That whole moment of seeing your bank account healthy and then depleted by the visa bill is just so depressing for me. I would literally grouch and bitch all day cuz the wait for another pay cheque is soo long.. Behold the miserable 2 weeks. Ugh...

So anewho, I went to a few stores and couldn't find anything that I liked and within my budget. I saw a couple of hoodies I liked for 60$ each. But I thought to myself.."my hoodie days are over, I want smtn' for the long run.. pfftt and cheaper!". So when I saw that Jacob was having a sale I barged in and was in heavveen! They had soo many rad sweaters and turtle necks and ponchos with little Nunavut designs.. and the best part was that they were reduced from 60$ to 20$ or 30$. SCORE!

So long story short.. I just happened to jump onto a nice sale.. saw smtn I liked.. tried it on.. and just happened to have my debit card with me. I eft the store with 4 sweaters .. and I got a chic re-usable bag for only a dollar (which originally cost 6$) HA!

Then I spotted smtn that I was after for the longest time! I was after a white sheer shirt with ruffles on the front which I saw on Gossip Girl (Blair wore it once> season two). I saw a very similar shirt in Mendocino for 70$ (it was on sale for 70.. *sigh). But I just had to have it cuz it was so cute! But no. I didn't get it for 70$.. that's so not me. In Forever 21 I stummbled upon a black shirt with slightly smaller ruffles.. for 30$. But it just didn't flow for me.. and it had a "butt ballerina piece" attached to it (an extended piece that you have to button at your crotch lol). Creative.. but too much work. So I went to UB and in a pale pink I found what it was I was looking for. Best part was that it was for 25$. YES!

A little more work goes a looonnggg way!

My fluffy shirt alongside one of my sweater purchases (the sweater I actually purchased at Tristan & America for 30$ reduced from 60$ lol).

Next on my shopping list: double layered necklace with a peace sign and tree (which I found at Urban Outfitters).. and maybe a bag (one with fringes which I saw at Forever 21)!

Don't F*ck With Old Man Winter!!

There is nothing that bugs me more than cold feet!
.. and there's nothing worse to add to the cold than the wet!
Bleh! cold and wet feet.. !omg :.. *insert childhood memory of coming home (soaked) after playing in the snow.
Sooooo today's snowfall triggered in me a need for funky, gunky, and extra waterproof boots! I only have one good pair of waterproof boots and those are my brown Hush Puppies.. but I don't want to wear 'em out cuz they're my fave comfy shoes! The others boots I own are leather> so they're water resistant, meaning that they let in water when they feel like it lol. This is my winter boot collection thus far:1. My Ankle Aussie's (from Australia), 2. My Steve Madden horse back riders (for riding the horse I don't have haha), 3. Hush Puppies, 4. My pointers, 5. S.M. (again) knee-high boots.

Aneways, I wasn't looking for smtn expensive (who's lookin @ brand names when its freakin slushy outside) but smtn warm, safe, and practical. So my best bet was Wal Mart lol! and I was pleasantly surprised (as I often am when I bargain shop) at the waterproof boot selection! I tried on these masculine, army looking, black boots that reached the knee. They were sooo cool and screamed the 80's. However, there was an issue with how they felt when I tried 'em on..so I didn't get 'em. I did get these other boots.. and at first glance I rejected to touch them. They were "prissy/girly"... but soooo comfortable! So I said Efff the snow flakes, I can make them work =) .. oh and they were reduced from 70$ to 40$ too!
